Both sides began this game at a high tempo. Brocton took an early lead when a throw from Tonks went over the heads of Hayes’ back line with Fife hitting home past keeper Adam Lane. That was just five minutes into the game and Brocton again got through the back line and slid the ball wide where a cross was met firmly by Fife to put Brocton two up. The early setbacks hardly caused Heath Hayes to pause as they immediately struck back through the prolific Haseley finishing off after a strong run down the left flank. Brocton scored a third when another cross was met to make it 3-1 at half time.
The second half was also played at a pace. Brocton scored again when another cross was converted on the far post. Brocton keeper Shelper then produced a save to deny the hard working Haseley as Heath Hayes continued to play their part in an all out attacking performance from both sides. Howells then lost his footing late on to let in Fife for another goal. Brocton scored again late on to make the final score 6-1 to Brocton.
