Heath Hayes lost out to a good Romulus side as they went out of the Walsall Senior Cup. Romulus scored after only five minutes after Hayes had a good chance to score. The visitors then showed their quality, scoring a further three goals to progress to the semi-final.

HEATH HAYES UP TO FOURTH
Saturday 23rd January:
Heath Hayes 3 v 0 Southam United
It was back to winning ways in the league as Heath Hayes beat Southam United. After a number of years of poor results against Southam, Hayes finally turned the tables and ran out comfortable winners. Two goals from Deakin and a late goal from Young gave Hayes the points and moved them up to fourth place.

HAYES MAKE WINNING RETURN
Tuesday 19th January:
Heath Hayes 4 v 0 Ball Haye Green
(Staffordshire Vase)
Heath Hayes finally returned to action on Tuesday when they beat Ball Haye Green to reach the quarter finals of the Staffordshire Vase. Two goals from Deakin, and one goal apiece from Haycock and Perry gave Hayes the win in a strong comeback performance.

TOP OF THE LEAGUE TOO STRONG
Saturday 12th December:
Heath Hayes 0 v 2 Pilkington XXX
Heath Hayes missed out on the chance to close the gap at the top of the table when they lost to leaders Pilkington at home. Two early goals were enough to give Pilks the points as Hayes bossed the second half but could not score.

HEATH HAYES THROUGH TO NEXT ROUND
Tuesday 8th December:
Heath Hayes 2 v 0 Redgate Clayton
In a repeat of the abandoned match in the Staffs Vase, holders Heath Hayes battled well to go through to the next round. Two goals from Pete Howells settled the tie in a game which saw Hayes have to battle throughout the game to get a result against a spirited Redgate side.

HAYES GO SECOND WITH WIN
Saturday 28th November:
Heath Hayes 4 v 1 Massey Ferguson
Heath Hayes jumped to second in the table as they beat Massey Ferguson on Saturday. In a top quality first half, Hayes went four goals up and finished the game. Hayes can thank Perry, Haseley and Deakin for the goals that gave them the points. Only a late penalty against Hayes gave Massey any concelation.

HAYES GET SOLID WIN
Tuesday 24th November:
Heath Hayes 3 v 0 Knowle
Heath Hayes gained a good three points and got themselves back on track in the league as the beat Knowle in really poor conditions on Tuesday. With a gale force wind it made play difficult, but goals from Deakin, Haycock and Perry gave Hayes the win.

CHASETOWN BEAT HAYES
Wednesday 18th November:
Chasetown Reserves 4 v 3 Heath Hayes
(JW Hunt Cup)
Heath Hayes lost to Chasetown in a keenly fought cup match. Goals went in at regular intervals but it was Chasetown who scored in the closing minutes to book their place in the next round.
GAME ABANDONED AT HAYES
Saturday 14th November:
Heath Hayes 3 v 1 Redgate Clayton
(Staffs Vase - Abandoned after 65 mins)
Heath Hayes were well on top of their cup fixture against Redgate Clayton. The home side were on course for a comfortable win when a tackle led to a suspected broken leg for a Redgate player. The referee took the decision to abandon the game after Clayton refused to continue playing. Heath Hayes send their best wishes to the player concerned and await the decision of the Staffs FA as to whether the result will stand.
HAYES THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND
Tuesday 10th November:
Heath Hayes 5 v 2 Walsall Wood
Heath Hayes put in a solid performance as they out-played local rivals Walsall Wood in the league cup. Hayes played some good football and goals from the regular scorers Haycock, Deakin, Perry and two for Haseley gave Hayes the win and put them through to the next round.

GOALFEST AS HAYES COME FROM BEHIND
Saturday 7th November:
Bolehall Swifts 3 v 6 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes had to put in a comeback performance as they went two goals behind against Bolehall Swifts. Hayes came back strongly and goals from Deakin, Haycock, Haseley and two from man-of-the-match Perry made it 5-2 at the interval. Hayes went on to score another in the second as they ran out comfortable winners.

Tuesday 3rd November:
Heath Hayes 7 v 0 Oldbury Athletic

Heath Hayes were on top form as they got a resounding victory in the Walsall Senior Cup. Hayes came out flying and finished every chance that fell to them as sparkling football led to a 6-0 half time lead. Two goals a piece from Haseley and Deakin were to thank, amongst all the other goals.

Saturday 31st October:
AFC Smethwick 1 v 3 Heath Hayes
(Endsleigh Challenge Cup)
Heath Hayes booked their place in the next round of the league cup with a comfortable win against division two side AFC Smethwick. Deakin scored twice whilst Haycock scored the other goal to put Hayes into the draw for the next round.

HAYES OUTPLAYED AT HEATHER
Tuesday 27th October:
Heather St. John's 4 v 0 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes suffered their worst loss of the season on Tuesday when they travelled to Heather St. John. Hayes were totally outplayed throughout the game against easily the best side they have faced this season.

THIRD PLACE FOR HEATH HAYES
Saturday 24th October:
Dosthill Colts 0 v 3 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes moved up to third place in the league when they ran out comfortable winners against newly promoted Dosthill Colts. Hayes took advantage in the first half with strikes from Deakin and Haycock, and a great solo goal in the second half from Haseley gave Hayes the points.

HAYES THROUGH TO NEXT ROUND
Tuesday 20th October:
Pelsall Villa 1 v 2 Heath Hayes
(JW Hunt Cup)
Heath Hayes went into the next round of the JW Hunt Cup as they beat Pelsall Villa in a hot tempered match. Pelsall took the lead right from the kick off but Hayes hit straight back with a goal from Deakin. Pelsall then had a man sent off and Hayes dominated the game. They scored the winner with 15 minutes remaining with a strike from Haycock.

HAYES GET SOLID WIN
Saturday 17th October:
Heath Hayes 2 v 0 Meir KA
Heath Hayes went up to fourth place in the league after a solid victory against lowly Meir KA. Hayes played well and controlled the game throughout. Deakin kept up his strong recent form scoring the first goal. Haycock sealed the win with the second goal late on. The win puts Hayes just three points behind the league leaders.

HAYES BACK ON FORM
Saturday 10th October:
Heath Hayes 5 v 1 Bolehall Swifts
Heath Hayes went back up to sixth place in the league with a comfortable win against Bolehall Swifts. Goals came at frequent intervals with two from Perry, and one a piece for Haycock and Deakin, and a first senior goal for Scrall. Hayes will now have to continue this form when they entertain Meir KA this coming weekend.

MISTAKES COST HAYES
Saturday 3rd October:
Massey Ferguson 3 v 2 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes missed out on the chance to go third in the league as they threw away the points with a poor performance at Massey. Even though Hayes took the lead through Haseley, they could not keep the lead and even a late goal from Deakin was not enough for Hayes.

HAYES GO FOURTH WITH WIN
Tuesday 29th September:
Bartley Green 1 v 3 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes put in one of their best performances of the season as they beat Bartley Green. Hayes dominated the first half and goals from Haycock and Deakin gave Hayes a two goal lead at the interval. Hayes soaked up pressure well in the second period and after conceding, Haseley scored to seal the points.

GOALS GALORE AT HAYES
Saturday 26th September:
Heath Hayes 9 v 1 Pershore Town
Heath Hayes produced a mammoth goalscoring display on Saturday when they put nine goals past lowly Pershore Town. Hayes scored three in the first period then a further seven goals in the second. Haseley and Perry grabbed hat-tricks, while Haycock scored a brace and Deakin also scored one.

HAYES HAVE TO SETTLE FOR DRAW
Tuesday 22nd September:
Heath Hayes 2 v 2 GSA Sports
Heath Hayes missed out on the chance to go fourth in the table when they could only get a draw against top five side GSA Sports. Hayes went a goal up, scored by Howells, early on only for the visitors to score two goals before the break. Hayes had chances to win the game but only a late goal from Deakin gave them a share of the points.

HAYES LOSE TO TABLE TOPPERS
Saturday 19th September:
Heath Hayes 2 v 3 Continental Star
Heath Hayes threw away the chance to climb the table when they lost at home to league leaders Continental Star. Star went two goals in the lead but two goals from Deakin saw Hayes draw level only for a 30 yard strike to give Star the points late on.

HAYES IN THE GOALS AGAIN
Saturday 12th September:
Racing Club Warwick 3 v 7 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes were in excellent form on Saturday against a poor Warwick side. Hayes went a goal behind in the opening minutes but then began to play and the tie was over by half time with the score at 6-1 to Hayes. An excellent performance by Hayes.

HAYES GO OUT AT FIRST HURDLE
Saturday 5th September:

Heath Hayes went out of the FA Vase at the first hurdle when they were beaten by league rivals Bartley Green. Hayes gave a below-par performance which allowed Green to come out two goal winners and gain a place in the next round.

Monday 31st August:
Pelsall Villa 0 v 3 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes were on top form and produced their best performance of the season when they beat local rivals Pelsall Villa. Having to field a depleted side Hayes were the best team throughout and two goals from Haycock and one from Perry gave Hayes the points in an excellent performance.

Saturday 29th August:

Heath Hayes were dumped out of the FA Cup after a disappointing display against a strong Tividale side. Hayes competed well but could not match the visiting teams quaility, and a late goal sent Hayes out.

Heath Hayes continued their good start to the league season with a solid 2-1 win against newly promoted Dosthill Colts. After going a goal down early on, goals from Haycock and Northwood gave Hayes the points in a good team performance.

GOAL FEAST AS CADBURY ARE BEATEN
Saturday 22nd August:
Heath Hayes 8 v 0 Cadbury Athletic
Heath Hayes returned to form on Saturday as they destroyed a weak Cadbury side. After going in at half-time with the scores level, Hayes scored all eight goals in the second half. Two goals a piece from Haycock and Deakin, a first goal for Northwood, and a Wallis hat-trick gave Hayes the win and some momentum going into an important week for the club.

HAYES DON'T QUITE DO ENOUGH
Tuesday 18th August:
Walsall Wood 1v 0 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes couldn't do quite enough as they lost out to Walsall Wood on Tuesday. It was a very even affair throughout but Wood scored late on to secure the points. Hayes will rue some missed chances but can count themselves unlucky.

HAYES TAKE CUP VICTORY
Saturday 15th August:

Heath Hayes went through to the next round of the FA Cup on Saturday as they beat Lye Town at the Coppice Colliery Ground. Hayes dominated the game and should have won more comfortably, however, two strikes from Ben Haseley were enough to put Hayes through to the next round.

HEATHER TOO GOOD FOR HAYES
Tuesday 11th August:
Heath Hayes 1 v 2 Heather St. John's
Heath Hayes were brought back down to the ground as they suffered their first defeat of the season on Tuesday evening. Hayes took the lead after Heather had most of the play with Haycock coming off the bench to score. However, two goals in ten minutes were enough to give Heather the points in a below-par performance from Hayes.

HAYES OPEN WITH GOOD WIN
Saturday 8th August:
Castle Vale JKS 0 v 1 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes made a good start to the 2009-10 league season with an opening day win at newly promoted Castle Vale. With a look team taking to the field, Simon Davies' side played solidly throughout, with Warren Inskip scoring an excellent header just before half-time to take the points for Hayes. Hayes continue in league action against Heather St. John on Tuesday evening.
