Heath Hayes ended their season with one of the biggest games in the clubs history in the Walsall Senior Cup Final at Bescot. Hayes more than matched their opponents from the league above themsleves, however they could not convert their chances. Boldmere scored two second half goals to win the cup after a gutsy and proud effort from Hayes.

BLAKEMORE SAVES HAYES BLUSHES
Saturday 26th April:
Nuneaton Griff 2 - 2 Heath Hayes
In Heath Hayes' final league game of the season a late equaliser from veteran Justin Blakemore gave them a share of the points away at Nuneaton. A poor game spoilt by an embarrassing playing surface also saw a penalty from Barber which meant the game ended in stalemate.

FIVE STAR HASELEY GIVES HAYES WIN
Tuesday 22nd April:
Heath Hayes 7 - 2 Massey Ferguson
Heath Hayes made amends for their cup exit against Massey Ferguson, with a convincing league win against the same side. Five goals from striker Ben Haseley, as well as a first goal for the club from Neil Hudson, and a James Barber penalty completed the win for the home team.

ANOTHER BIG SCALP FOR HAYES
Saturday 19th April:
Heath Hayes 3 - 1 Southam United
Heath Hayes took their second big scalp in a week when they defeated third placed Southam United at the Coppice Colliery Ground. A first half goal from Alan Haycock combined with a Barber penalty and a Deakin strike gave Hayes the point in a solid, battling performance.

HAYES PUT DENT IN TITLE HOPES
Tuesday 15th April:
Heath Hayes 2 - 1 Highgate United
Heath Hayes played their part in the title run-in, as well as boosting their chances of a top-half finish with a win against league leaders Highgate United. Although the visitors had several chances, Hayes converted theirs through Wallis and Deakin in the second half.

Saturday 12th April:

Heath Hayes returned to league action only with a days rest under their belt after their midweek cup exploits. With players struggling with fatigue and injuries, Hayes put together a spirited performance to gain a share of the points. Goals from Deakin and Haseley were the high points for Hayes.

JUBILANT SCENES AS HAS MAKE FINAL!
Thursday 10th April:
Walsall Senior Cup Semi-Final
Heath Hayes 3 - 2 Pelsall Villa (aet)
There were jubilant scenes at the Coppice Colliery Ground on Thursday evening as Heath Hayes won through to the Walsall Senior Cup Final with an extra-time win over local rivals Pelsall Villa. Goals from Checketts and Haycock took the game into extra time, and in the final minute, after a surging Hewitt run, Hayes gained a penalty, which was slotted away by Barber to ignite the celebrations.

Saturday 5th April:
Barnt Green Spartak 3 - 3 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes gained just a point this Saturday when a spirited Barnt Green side nearly took all the points. After going three goals down, a second half performance with goals from Blakemore, Barber and Checketts gained Hayes a share of the points.

Tuesday 1st April:

Heath Hayes were looking good for a win bu T*T was no April Fools joke as they ended up losing to high flying Colehill Town. After going two goals up through Checketts and Barber, the visitors could not cope with Coleshill's pace and pressure as they scored two late goals to get the win.

MISERABLE AWAY DAY
Saturday 29th March:
Continental Star 1 - 1 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes had to settle for a point when the weather proved the winner in a miserable day in Oldbury. A first half goal for Star was cancelled out by Haycock early in the second period. Both teams had chances but failed to convert in a game spoiled by miserable weather.

HAYES KEEP COOL AS WOOD SEE RED
Monday 24th March:
Walsall Wood 1 - 4 Heath Hayes
In a game filled with chaos, Heath Hayes took all the points against local rivals Walsall Wood. A first half goal from Haseley gave Hayes the half-time lead. Walsall Wood then had a player sent off at half-time, then two further red cards in the second half. Hayes took advantage and goals from Haycock, Wallis and Checketts sealed the points, whilst the police had to be called to escort the referee from the ground.

Saturday 22nd March:
Pilkington 2 - 2 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes were left rueing a host of missed chances when they drew with Pilkington on Saturday. Deakin's first half goal gave Hayes the half-time lead but two deflected goals in the second half meant Hayes paid the price for earlier missed chances. A strike by Wallis late on gave Hayes a share of the points.

Heath Hayes finally pulled a performance out of the bag in their local derby with Brocton. Hayes were solid throughout and a second half goal from Ben Haseley sealed the points for Hayes.

Heath Hayes were left unhappy and embarrassed after defeat to second from bottom Bartley Green. Goals from Wallis and Winwood were not enough to gain a point. Hayes were poor all over the pitch and Bartley deserved all three points.

Saturday 8th March:
Heath Hayes 4 - 1 Coventry Copsewood
Two goals from James Barber and goals from Checkitts and Haycock helped rescue the points for Heath Hayes after going into the interval a goal down. The second half fightback saw Hayes play all the fooball and come away with the points.

Heath Hayes faced a tough task away at a strong Castle Vale side, and decided to take the challenge head on by playing three strikers. It pay dividends early as Hayes took the lead through Haseley, but three second half mistakes led to three Vale goals and a loss for Hayes.

MASSEY END CUP DREAMS
Saturday 23rd February:
Heath Hayes 2 - 3 Massey Ferguson
Heath Hayes were dumped out of the Endsleigh Challenge Cup at the hands of Massey Ferguson this weekend. Massey made all the early running taking a two goal lead into half time. Hayes came out fighting and pulled the scores level only for a deflected goal to win the game for the visitors.

STUDENTS TAUGHT A LESSON
Saturday 16th February:
Heath Hayes 2 - 1 Loughborough University
Heath Hayes got back to winning ways against Loughborough University on Saturday. Early goals from Wallis and the in-form Hewitt led the way and some strong defending kept the visitors at bay. The result consolidates Hayes' position within the mid-table.

TUCK TAKES A BREAK IN DRAW
Saturday 9th February:
Coventry Copsewood 2 - 2 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes gained a draw in this hard fought game. After being two goals down at half time Hayes battled back well and goals from Haycock and Deakin gained them a point. Another serious injury setback saw vice-captain Andrew Tuck break his leg in a bad challenge around his knee. Tuck is still in hospital awaiting results of scans.

STAFFS VASE WOE FOR BIRD AND HAYES
Saturday 2nd February:
Heath Hayes 0 - 4 Foley
Heath Hayes went out of the Staffs Vase when they were beaten convincingly by Foley. Hayes played well in patches but inconsistency let Foley in too many times. Hayes also suffered a major blow when Brendan Bird broke his leg in a challenge.

HAYES THROW AWAY THE POINTS
Tuesday 29th January
Heath Hayes 3 - 3 Cadbury Athletic
Heath Hayes lost out on taking all three points on Tuesday night against a determined Cadbury side. Hayes' two goal lead, courtesy of Blakemore, was reduced to 2-1 before half time. The second half saw Hayes score again through Haycock, but some interesting substitutions by Davies and some poor decisions gave Cadbury two late goals to gain a draw.

LATE GOALS SEAL WIN
Saturday 26th January
Feckenham 2 - 3 Heath Hayes
After a lengthy break to to recent bad weather Heath Hayes returned to winning ways in the return to action.
A first half goal from Haseley gave Hayes the lead in the first half, but this was cancelled out by a Feckenham goal with 30 mins to play. Late goals from Hewitt and Haycock saved the points for Hayes in what should have been a more comfortable win.

Heath Hayes again ran riot in another good performance on Saturday against Feckenham. Feckenham pressed well and took the lead but goals from Jones, Eatley, Deakin, Haseley and Hewitt were too much for the visitors and Hayes ran out comfortable winners.

FIVE-GOAL HAYES BURY THE BADGERS
Tuesday 1st January
Brocton 1 - 5 Heath Hayes
Heath Hayes turned on the style on New Year's Day to beat local rivals Brocton. Five goals from the 'away' side, including two for Haseley and a cracker from Eately, gave Hayes the points in this hard fought game.
Defender Nathan Harper commented after the performance:
"I'm glad we gave them a good doing!"
Hayes must remain confident for the visit of Feckenham on Saturday.

Heath Hayes were finally dumped out of the FA Vase in the 3rd round this weekend. Goals from Wallis and Haycock were not enough to prevent Hayes going down by a single goal in a mud-bath in Northamptonshire.

Heath Hayes were too strong for Brereton Social on Saturday when they gave their local rivals are four goal beating to get back to winning ways. Two goals a piece for Ben Haseley and Richie Hewitt was enough to move Hayes up to 13th in the league.
