Second round of the Carol Cup today as we entertained Bush Ravens on a bright but blustery afternoon, Hayes start the game quite brightly and are the dominant side and come close to opening the scoring from a great header by Espo from a corner but well headed of the line by the Bush defender Dan then fails to convert a 1 on 1 and Aza has a free kick well saved by the keeper as it headed for the top corner, Bush failed to create any real chances with the defence looking strong.

Second half underway and Hayes on the front foot again and its not long before they take the lead, a free kick quickly taken by Scotty over the Bush defence and Dan is on the end of it to lob the keeper, bush shortly after got a shock equaliser they manage to get behind our defence a there player scores from a tight angle 1-1 but as ever hayes never drop there heads or tempo and Brett restores the lead with a well taken goal 2-1 up and Bushes keeper pulls off a number of good saves to keep the score tight, denied a penalty late on as well but a deserved victory by Heath Hayes and onto the 3rd round we go!!!!!!!
