This was the most important match of the season for both Khelsa who were at home and Heath Hayes in the League decider.
Expectation was high from both teams who had been battling it out since the opening weekend othe season.
The match got underway with both teams seeing half chances however the deadlock was broken with 10 mins gone, a corner from Heath Hayes Luke White with Ben squire picking up the ball on the 18yrd box passing to alex Porter who lobbed the ball over keepers head 0-1.
Moments later Ryan Snape and Luke White combined to pass a through ball to Alex Porter who shot and went under the keepers body to make it 0-2.
Khelsa were strong coming forward and got caught off side a number of times by the well marshalled defence of Alex Rowe, Dan McGrady (who had his best game of the season), Josh Lees & Tyrone Street. However a runner from the Khelsa midfield beat the off side trap and was one on one with Hayes keeper Harry Greensill , but shot wide of Harry's reach to make it 1-2, game on!
The next goal came just before the break when Hayes played the ball on the ground with Luke White & Ben Squire combining with Tobi Williams receiving, then onto Alex Porter who returned the pass to Tobi who blasted the ball into the net "what a move guys" 1-3.
Half Time 1-3
Khelsa came out in the second half and pressured Hayes creating two freekick chances , but came to nothing. Alex Rowe clearing the ball from defence then released Ben Squire who passed through to Tobi Williams with Khelsa clearing the line.
The midfield battle continued with Hayes quartet of Dan Hassell , Liam North , Ben Squire & Ryan Snape working hard to keep control.
This paid off when Alex Rowe came out of defence with the ball to give Ben Squire a clear run who put Tobi Williams through with just the keeper to beat , which he did is style by side stepping the keeper 1-4.
The game was pretty well ove r when from the kick off Tobi Williams challenged for the ball and then looked up to see the keeper off his line a little so Tobi Smashed the ball high and lobbed the keeper, "what a goal !"
Full Time 1-5 --------Heath Hayes win the League and have gone through the season winning all but two league games which were drawn.
Well done to all with special mention to Manager Simon Porter & Coach Kevin Sunders ??? who have guided the Heath Hayes under 13's through a brilliant season.
