BROWNHILLS STAGS 1
HEATH HAYES U-13's 1

ALEX PORTER (1)

A crucial league game for Hayes which if won could secure at least second place .
Early pressure by Heath Hayes saw Danny Mac put Tobi Williams in on goal but was denied by the Stags keeper a very good start by Hayes .
Hayes kept up the pressure with Ben Squire putting Tobi through only to chip the ball just over the bar. Luke White then put a cross in to Danny Mac who hit a cracking dipping ball from outside the 18yrd box but just went wide.
Liam North ( who had a very good game ) then challenged for the ball in the middle of the park and side stepped two players to put Tobi in on goal who went round the keeper with his shot being cleared of the line .
More attacks came from Luke putting Cam D'aguilar and Tobi through but Hayes could not break the deadlock, from a Ben Squire corner defender Alex Rowe picked up the ball and had a shot from 25 yrds but could only see the ball go over the bar ( it was quite a bit over actually ) .
Liam then put Cam through but was yet again denied by the Stags keeper who to be fair was keeping them inthe game, Stags didn't get into Hayes half much but late in the first half a good attack down the left wing saw the ball crossed into the middle of the park for their forward to volley it over the Hayes bar .

Half Time Score 0 / 0

Heath Hayes pressured Stags from the off with Tobi picking the ball up mid way into Stags half and testing the keeper who managed to hang onto the ball , Moments later Tobi got through one on one with the keeper who managed to force the shot wide .
Stags then had their chance to attack with Hayes keeper Harry Greenshill & central defenders Ellis Leason & Alex Rowe combining to keep Stags at bay, Stags then attacked down the left wing and crossed a testing ball into the box , Luke White got to the ball first but was very unlucky to slice the ball into his own net as he tried to clear the ball ( unlucky Luke ) 0/ 1 to Stags .
This gave Hayes a wake up call and Manager Simon Porter changed the formation from 4-4-2 to a 3-4-3 with the substitution of Tyrone Street for son Alex who had an immediate effect , as Alex picking the ball up on the edge of Stags 18yrd box and putting the ball into the bottom right corner of the Stags goal 1 / 1 ( well done Alex ) .
Stags were not done yet and Hayes defenders Dan Hassel Ellis & Alex Rowe had to be on their guard as some dangerous balls were being put into the Hayes danger area , However Hayes were the ones looking the most likely to score with wave after wave of attacks and were rewarded with a free kick, Danny Mac took the free kick but was unlucky to see the ball dip just over the bar ( unlucky Dan keep trying ) , T obi was also unlucky as a superb header was once again saved by the Stags keeper Cam tried to capitalize on the spilt ball but saw his shot go over the bar.
Stags gave one more push and put in a looping ball from outside the 18yrd box but Hayes keeper Harry Greenshill pulled of a quality save to keep the score level , it was then Hayes turn to put in one last push with Ben & Alex combining to force the Stags keeper to pull of yet another good save, Hayes should have won the game but for some questionable offside decisions were held to 1 / 1 draw well done lads it's a pleasure to watch you all keep up the hard work .
