Another great game from these two teams played in a competitive spirit to the end. A balanced first half with few chances taken taken by either team. With minutes to go a free kick was superbly converted by Lee Butler to put Wednesfield in the lead at the interval. Both teams came out with everything to play for in the second half. Daniel Scragg was in a one to one with the keeper when fouled and successfully put away the penalty awarded. Wednesfield determination showed through as they began to take control of the game and with five minutes remaining Paul Sullivan put the ball in the back of the net with a "towering" header from a corner. Hayes threw everything int the last few minutes but were unable to pull the score back. Congratulations to Wednesfield players who have provided three classic games with Hayes this season.
